A part of the Lafayette Street Collection, this piece is inspired by the details of local architecture. The collection is named after the main street my husband and I used to take when walking from his childhood home to downtown Salem. Lafayette Street transitions from historic residences to the bustling city center, offering a unique perspective of life in this historic area.
In this necklace we use a very unique gem called a star ruby. This stone features a unique quality known as asterism, which presents a beautiful starburst when the stone hits the light as specific angles. The effect is 100% natural and caused by needle-like inclusions found in a rare minority of rubies.
